When writing academic papers, you may have to cite a lecture, webinar recording, or other course materials in APA. The following can help you determine how best to cite these items in your work.

Tips:
The type of LMS platform stands in place of a publisher. Use the name of the LMS provider (Canvas, D2L, Blackboard). At CGI, this is Canvas.
Because the LMS is password-protected and the audience you are writing for in your class assignments typically has access to the LMS, use the main login URL as the URL (https://my.cgi.edu).
If the date is not known, use "n.d." in its place.

APA instructs to "use a personal citation only when a recoverable source is not available. However, if the lecture contained original content not published elsewhere, cite the lecture as a persona communication."
