Mysteries of the Library:  Revealed! are short webinars designed to orient enrolled students, alumni, and faculty to the materials and services available at the CORE Library.   These webinars may be live (20-30 minutes) with library staff is available to answer questions or provide individual consultation after the session.  They may alternatively be pre-recorded and are available on-demand.  You are always welcome to schedule a consultation with a librarian if you need one.

The Power of Presearching

It’s really easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of material available on a topic. Another common problem is not have any relevant search results come up.

Both of these issues can be solved by a little pre-planning, or what is called “presearch.”   This workshop will teach strategies for presearching that can help you to better identify information sources for use in application papers and literature reviews.

Zotero

Zotero is a free application, with an add-on to the Firefox web browser that helps researchers collect, manage and cite bibliographic sources (articles, books, websites, etc.). Learn how Zotero can be used as a collaborative and user-friendly alternative to Refworks or other bibliographic citation tools.
