Writing: Cite Sources for a Discussion Board Post

Three easy ways to cite sources

Cite from Library

If you are citing an article from the CORE Library, each article has a "cite" function that can automagically create a citation for you.  This 30-second video shows you how.

Citations from Readings

If you need a citation from one of the readings for the week, just copy it out of the Readings file in the weekly module.  Most readings contain a citation that is already in APA format.

If you are citing course materials, use the citation from the Readings file. It's already in APA format for you!

Use a Citation Manager

For everything else, try a citation manager.  Citation managers are  software packages used to create personalized databases of citation information and notes. They allow you to import and organize citation information from article indexes and other sources. ... format citations for your papers and bibliographies using APA and many other styles.

There are several free options available.  Click on the image below to learn more about these citation managers.
